EL CAMINAR, LA MEDITACIÓN Y LAS ONDAS CEREBRALES

Contra algunas opiniones que se esgrimen sobre el cómo lograr la meditación, este sistema integral de caminar no necesariamente requiere de esas condiciones y requisitos.

Aquellas recomiendan estar en una posición confortable y de reposo; en un lugar agradable, de preferencia en un cuarto aislado, para lograr que esté silencioso y apacible; y poner la mente “vacía”.

Con el sistema de leer, escribir o dibujar mientras se camina, podemos alcanzar esos mismos niveles de abstracción, concentración y relajamiento, es decir, una meditación plena, pero todavía se va más allá. No necesariamente tenemos que recurrir a cuartos cerrados, sino todo lo contrario; tampoco deben realizarse indefectiblemente las caminatas en un ambiente apacible y silencioso, aunque el no contar con esto último puede ser generador de distracción; y la posición no es precisamente de reposo, sino erguido y caminando, siempre caminando.

La meditación -y así mismo sus componentes principales-, no es un estado donde tengamos que poner la mente “vacía”, sino que la ponemos a trabajar concentrada, en tópicos muy concretos, que para el que medita son tan apasionantes  -o pueden llegar a serlo-  que los abstraen de todo y sienten que flotan en el “no espacio” y en el “no tiempo”; en otras palabras, nos sustraemos del medio circundante, pues nuestra mente y nuestros 5 sentidos físicos y los espirituales se abstraen (de la realidad inmediata), y se enfocan, reflexionando y sintiendo, respectivamente, en ese tópico, tema o actividad simultanea al caminar, que nos apasiona.

MEDITACIÓN - ONDAS CEREBRALES

Tengamos presente que la meditación no es únicamente alcanzar la relajación. El caminar asociado al leer, o escribir o dibujar, nos permite producir las ondas alfa pero también las theta. La ondas alfa están asociadas a la relajación y a otros estados más de atenuación de conciencia (menor racionalismo), mientras las theta son aquellas que se generan en nuestro cerebro cuando logramos colocarnos en una calma profunda y la conciencia del tiempo y el espacio se pierden, son las ondas que se establecen y se implantan –con organización-  en la mente cuando hacemos contacto con nuestro inconsciente, pero seguimos con una conciencia aparente, es decir, nuestra atención se relaja y nuestras ejecuciones físicas y mentales no se gobiernan con las acciones racionales, de tal manera que nos colocamos en un estado hipnagógico: caminamos y no nos percatamos de ello, leemos y tampoco sabemos que lo realizamos, y cuando despertamos de ese estado, tomamos conciencia que hemos caminado 5-6 millas y leído 10-15 páginas de un libro.

Por este estado que se alcanza mediante el caminar de modo integral, es que he recomendado en posts anteriores que se debe tener mucho cuidado de realizar este tipo de meditación activa en entornos donde pueden tener contacto con automóviles, bicicletas, y otro tipo de vehículos, sino que se debe realizar en lugares seguros, habituales y bien conocidos.
