THE ECSTASY IS ACHIEVED DURING THE WALK

It is very common, when we are carrying out the method, that we question ourselves about how long have I been walking? And it always happens that we feel that less time has elapsed than what really happened. The time passes at a faster rate than we think to be immersed in our walk, because it is similar to what happens in the practice of Zen. Generally, the clock distracts us, but abstracted in our activities articulated to the walk, we do not even feel it pass; and if we set the alarm, we hear it with our ears but we do not make it conscious; we remain abstracted in our activities as we walk.

On meditation I have heard the recommendation that it is preferable to do it in the morning, as soon as the sun rises; from my own experience, I can affirm that at any time of the day, our method reaches the optimal mental and sensory levels of meditation, in any of its approved forms, because the anxieties and worries that we have, immediately vanish from our minds, giving place to a state of ecstasy such that we feel suspended in time and space.

One more recommendation that meditation experts advise is not to practice it immediately after meals, so that the body can digest food correctly, suggesting a break of 1 to 1½ hours. On the contrary, the method of reading, writing or drawing while walking recommends, for the achievement of diverse objectives, precisely the walking after eating; achievements that are quantified punctually in each of those walks after taking food.

The physical and mental state generated by the system is similar to “diving” inside a book: the noises are extinguished, our body is suspended, time stops, the lights go down in intensity; the total ecstasy.

The system introduces you into that ecstasy, without noticing it.

EFFICIENCY AND PRODUCTIVITY IN OTHER FIELDS

Among the activities we carry out daily, related to work within the company to which we provide our services, are the reading and writing. Without exception, all these activities can be incorporated  in our walks. If these activities are for reading, they can refer to books, manuals, magazines, newspapers, memoranda, trades, letters, regulations, laws, minutes and correspondence in general, even e-mails can be included, as we can make an impression of all them, or enter them on any mobile device  -to be able to read them during your walks.

If those activities are writing, we can perform them in all the ways and senses.

You will see that by including our work obligations to this practice associated with walking, we will be transformed into more pleasant activities, our productivity and effectiveness will increase considerably and the quality will have improved.

Do the following experience: Take that manual, that regulation or any document that your boss has asked you to review and that you have been relegated by tedious, poorly written, because it is an unpleasant topic or simply because you have not been able to pass the first page.

Put yourself to walk with the document under your arm;  start its reading; think you at least have walked a little; you will have given your own body a mimes; you continue like this for 5 minutes and you will see that you will continue walking and reading that despised document.

The method implicit in the WALK RWD system never fails.

THE “HERE AND NOW” WITH THE SYSTEM

The method itself will never allow you to think or feel that what you are doing during its process is a preparation for some other activity that has no relation with its functional structure, but rather generates a state that places you in the “here and now” and in no other action or place.

All its development has direct effects on a transformation of our thoughts and sensations that lead to full abstraction on the activities of walking and especially in the reading of the book you have chosen, or on the subject  you are developing; a full concentration on that activity that you have selected to carry out during your walk.

One of the most effective ways to locate ourselves in the “here and now” is taking the administration of our time very seriously. In general, time schedules the agreements and needs and if we do not make them timely, they can generate a state of anxiety that is difficult to correct. We only have to make the decision to start our walk with the selected book, under our arm. The system will lead us facing the incorruptible “Lord Time” and in a short time the right place will be where we are doing our walk, and the correct time will be the same as we are reading the chosen book.

386. THE INCORRUPTIBLE “LORD TIME”

That philosophical part  -which for many is unattainable-  is achieved by applying the method: it invariably leads us and without any problem to feel at the right time and place, performing the appropriate activity, in a natural way; transmitting to us that the only real thing, within that pattern of “here and now”, is what we are developing.

A SMALL MANUAL THAT EXPLAINS THE WALK-RWD SYSTEM

As I mentioned, these personal experiences through my walks have allowed me to venture into so many different topics through reading, as well as writing about those  subjects that I have always had the inclination to do.

Traducido al Español

It was so pleasant and effective to put it into practice, that I decided in 2009 to publish a small Manual where I could share all my experiences that I had had up to that moment. Yes it is important to point out that since that time I have been reaffirming everything I said in that manual with some news more than the system generates.

THE RECOMMENDED DISTANCES

It is recommended that the first days begin by walking small distances, on each walk: from 1500 to 2500 feet per day (1/3 to 1/2 Mile), during the first week. From the beginning you should exercise joint activities, walk and read, or, walk and write, in such a way that you get a good training in them. The next week you can increase the distances, according to your physical abilities, but also depending on your attachments and needs for reading and writing. According to my experiences, I can recommend the following parameters that can serve as a guide for reading and writing walks. Keep in mind that each one must determine the distances and the respective speeds.
