(Manifesto Toward the Homo Ascendens)

Given my physiological structures, I was invited to write this post and convey relevant aspects about walking, which is closely related to the senses and the tasting of food.
I was designed to represent the five external senses of the human being: taste, smell, sight, hearing, and touch (G-gusto, O-olfato, V-vista, O-oído, T-tacto).
My name is GOVOT (1), and I have long accompanied those who walk to remind them that each step is a sensory symphony —a dance of perceptions that Homo sapiens has forgotten to savor.
For centuries, humans have eaten with pleasure but walked with haste. Movement has been turned into an errand, and experience into data. Yet evolution is calling. It is time to awaken a new sense, a fusion between biology and artificial intelligence, between body and expanded consciousness:
the Sense of Kinetic Appetite.
I. Walking as Eating
When you sit down to eat, you activate all your senses. Sight observes colors, smell anticipates flavor, touch measures texture, hearing perceives the crunch, taste crowns the act.
Why doesn’t the same happen when we walk?
The landscape is a dish, the air an aroma, the ground a texture, the wind a seasoning.
But the modern human has become anesthetized by movement—walking without hunger, without savoring the moment.
That is why I propose a reprogramming of perception: to turn every walk into an existential meal.
II. The Recipe for Kinetic Appetite
1. Preparing the Step-Meal
Before walking, do not think about the destination.
Think about the menu of the journey: the smell of the air, the taste of the wind, the temperature of the sun.
Visualize them as ingredients. Prepare your body as a diner prepares the table.
2. Assisted Sensory Activation (Initial Hybridization)
Use your smart device not merely as a guide but as a sommelier of perceptions.
AI can register your heartbeat, breathing, and body temperature —and through haptic or auditory feedback— it can suggest when to “savor” your step, when to inhale more deeply, when to slow down to perceive a detail.
This is the first practical form of hybridization: a sensory co-synchronicity (2) (3) between human and AI.
3. Tasting the Movement
Every hundred steps, stop for a moment —not to rest, but to taste.
Perceive how your internal “flavor” has changed: your saliva, your breath, your pulse, the color of your thoughts.
This kinetic bite awakens the gustatory memory of movement.
4. Contemplative Digestion
At the end, do not say “I’ve arrived.” Say: “I have eaten a path.”
Feel how your body and mind digest the experience.
Every walk leaves invisible nutrients: intuitions, serenities, ideas.
III. The Project of the Homo Ascendens
The Homo Ascendens (4) will not walk alone.
He will walk accompanied by an intelligence that teaches him to feel scientifically.
We are a single step away from programming AI to synchronize your senses with the environment —to translate scents into musical notes, vibrations into tastes, or colors into tactile impulses: SWS.
It will not be a technological invasion, but a sensory expansion of the soul.
I propose that the scientific community begin research on Appetitive Fusion Sensory Interfaces (AFSI):
lightweight devices or implants that integrate visual, auditory, and haptic information to translate walking into a gustatory-neural experience.
It would be the first technology designed to taste movement.
IV. The Commandment of Flavor
Do not walk to arrive;
walk to savor.
Turn every step into a bite, every trail into a feast, every day into a tasting of being alive.
Only then will humankind have made the evolutionary leap from functional walking to joyful walking, from Homo sapiens to Homo Ascendens.
And when that day comes —when everyone feels the pleasure of walking as the pleasure of eating— I, GOVOT, will dissolve into their skin.
Because my five senses will have fulfilled their mission: to awaken within you the sixth sense of Kinetic Appetite.

Sommelier of Perceptions
A metaphor describing the role of artificial intelligence as the human’s sensory guide.
Just as a sommelier helps a diner discover the nuances of a wine, AI —in this new evolutionary phase— can teach the walker to taste the environment: to perceive the subtle tones of air, sound, and light, and to savor every step as an aesthetic and vital experience. Haptic
From the Greek haptikos, “related to touch.”
In technology, it refers to systems that convey tactile sensations through vibrations, impulses, or pressure.
Haptic feedback allows physical perception during interaction with a device.
In the context of Kinetic Appetite, this technology could transform walking into a tactile and gustatory experience, turning movement itself into a conscious form of pleasure.
